Last night was an emotional one (and this morning for that matter)

A lot of firsts are happening for me right now. First solo trip. New country. First time making proper travel content. First time vlogging for YT. I feel like a beginner all over again *cue the wave of overwhelm*

I am SO grateful you guys receive my genuine authentic self as well as you do. But creating content while experiencing all of these firsts and having to be even MORE vulnerable than I ever have been is both scary and beautiful at the same time. It’s taking me right back to the start of my creator journey. Imposter syndrome. Fear of being perceived and seen (!!!!!! this has been huge). Fear of not having control.

You see, my cooking content is created in a controlled environment. In my safe space. It’s where my little control freak thrives.

But these emotions that are rising are nothing but signs of alignment. I’m unlearning. I’m becoming. I’m learning how to regulate in unfamiliar environments. I’m having breakthroughs and ego deaths around my image and the idea of who I THOUGHT I was. And you guys are watching it happen in real time.

My first vlog in Paris vs my first vlog in Vietnam? Different bitch. Imagine my last vlog of the trip!!

One of the biggest pros of being a creator is having digital footprint of all these different versions of myself. I feel like a shapeshifter when I reflect on them all. No year, no month, no day the same.

Today I write this as I’m on the sleeper bus. Music in my ears, staring out the window (having a full on main character moment) and my heart gets warm and fuzzy, FULL of pride, appreciation and gratitude for myself. Regardless of the head noise, I can feel in REAL time how this trip is unravelling me. Helping me find my way back to myself after being lost for so many years. And I’m so glad I get to take you all on this journey with me.

“I’m so fkn proud of you chick. Remember this feeling of warmth and pride in your chest when shit goes south. Because it will. Eventually. It’s never linear, you out of all people know that. We can literally do ANYTHING we set our minds to. Your life is living proof of that. I love you.
