Paul recently had a little mixup with a couple of his favorite spices. I didnt think it was a big deal, but I noticed that it seemed to really frustrate Paul. I asked him why it affected him so much, and he said it made him feel “more disabled”. Sometimes these little things, even things as inconsequential as mixing up two similar spices, can make a disabled person feel incapable or “less than”. So I came up with a simple solution. I bought this cool Braille labeler and labeled his most-used spices with the first letter of each word. That way he can easily confirm he has the correct ingredient. As soon as I fix it, I’ll do some more labeling around the apartment 🤣
