My mission behind the schedule of events taking place at the House of Icon @design.london is to create a space which prioritises community and connection. In a world where we need it more than ever, I truly believe that design can positively bring us together while presenting solutions towards a better future for all. I also wanted to make it more accessible so that everyone has a chance to let their voice be heard and I hope the daily round table sessions will do just that. Through addressing critical and current topics head on, the sessions look to inspire the creative community while allowing us to reconnect with each other and also ourselves. And don’t forget to stop by for moments of escapism with our game shows, a workshop looking at indigenous textile techniques and a guided group meditation. There’s something for everyone!

Discover the full schedule in the bio and be sure to book your slot as spaces are limited. Can’t wait to see you there!

It was a pleasure to be a part of the third edition of @furnitureweek.capetown last month representing @iconeye as the International Media Partner for the event.

Seeing the event grow in size each year is very exciting while connecting with the amazing designers across the city showcases the depth of talent within the region.

The beautiful venues offered wonderful backdrops to the pieces on display, with studios bringing an immersive experience to this year’s show. It was also wonderful to host a discussion looking at the beauty of collaboration where we gained an insight into the synergy of the partnership between @matteocibic and @pichulikafrica

Some of the highlights came from @studioananta_ @studio.jarvis @studiokaja_ @whitesheep.studio @nish.product @han______ceramics @thebemagugu @weylandtshome @thewoodbender @hoiploysa @simphiwem1 to name a few. Huge congrats to Gareth and Aimee for putting together another successful show!
