What an absolute gem this place is.

This pub is on the verge of going clear on the top spot for me. The food is outrageous and I would 100000% recommend going. It’s hidden away in a housing estate but they regularly fill their place to the max. Food comes out timely and of amazing quality.

If you love your Indian mixed grills and Indo-Chinese stuff, you need to get involved.

This is what we ordered

-Crispy aubergine
-Surf and turf mixed grill (an array of sizzling dishes including hariyal i chicken tikka, chicken seekh kebab, tikka, lamb kebabs, masala fish, chicken wings, lamb chops, and prawns)
-Black pepper fish
-Chicken tawa
-Butter chicken
-Lamb karahi
-Chicken 69
-Jeera rice
-Pilau rice
-Garlic and coriander naan
-Peshwari naan

The surf and turf is an absolute monster. It’s a proper showstopper. Every dish was a beauty. I love a bit of fish and the black pepper fish was fantastic.

Also, aubergine is always on my orders. Even if you hate aubergine, I beg you try it from an Indian bar and grill. It’s another level and this one was gorgeous.

Jumped on this didn’t I. Bit late to the party I know but fancied it. Not exactly a thrilling watch but I’ll post it anyway 😂

CHILLI PICCALILLI

Love a bit of piccalilli I do. Branstons sent me their new chilli one out and I’m all over it.

I never really tried piccalilli until a few years ago, absolutely love the stuff now. This one has a nice little kick to it.

Any piccalilli lovers out there?

BIKANERI, HINCKLEY

When I first moved over from Leicester, I couldn’t find a decent Indian restaurant/takeaway. I was spoilt for choice where u lived before and being just outside the city now, it’s hard to find a good one.

Bikaneri is my go to. Always a great meal. Love a mixed grill and these do a lovely one. The lamb chops are always the showstopper. Cooked beautifully every time I’ve had them.

Jem absolutely loves their chilli mushrooms. I’m big into Indo-Chinese food so I love them too!

We had them for starters this time, along with a samosa chaat and a Raj kachori. This is a rich and splendid dish from Bikaner city. It involves a crisp bowl filled with legume, potatoes and bhalla which is topped with yogurt, chutneys and bhujia. Both the samosa chaat and the Raj Kachori were superb. We also had ten salt and pepper prawns which were class. Had a right kick!

For mains, I obviously had the mixed grill. Absolutely love meat haha. The missus had the chicken Taka-Tak which is another great dish. I prefer the lamb one though. It’s a street food dish served on a hot plate. Again, a beauty of a kick to it.

The lad had a korma. I know, tried to talk him out of it but the prawns did his tongue in 😂

They do a cracking deal on a weekday. Starter, main, side and dessert all for £15.99.

They’ve got some great sounding dishes that I’m yet to try too!
