This country surprised us in so many ways, from the dramatic desert landscapes of the south to the rolling green hills and ancient Roman history of the north. ❌ “It’s conservative and very restrictive” - We were so pleasantly surprised to learn that Tunisia is actually one of the most progressive countries in the region. With strong legal rights and access to education and work, particularly for women. In cities such as Tunis, it actually feels incredibly liberal.
